really now

alright. most of you that know me know that i’m kind of girly and i spend a significant amount of my pay-check on clothes. a lot of you know that street wear gains steam from being hyped up, and for those artsy mother fuckers out there, people take it to heart when they see other people in their clothes.

to be quite honest i used to be one of these snooty fags. i see someone in a graphic tee and think to myself, do they even know what movie or what music group that graphic is referring to? for example, supreme released a tee a couple seasons ago that had a wrap around print that says: “to me, being a gangster was better than being President of the United States”. now, i like that tee because that is my favorite scorsese movie and ray liota was a straight boss. but i really can’t help but think to myself: ”does this teeny bopper 16 year old even know that the print is from a movie? he probably just got the tee because he thinks he has daily struggles and is on the grind urrrrday”.

now i said i used to be one of these fags… but then i grew up. yeah i can get upset from time to time, but i move on in less than 18 seconds because there’s things worth getting upset about in life, but this isn’t one of them. it’s good that people have their interests, i think it’s sick how people can have a strong interest in fashion. but people who try to base their lives solely on clothes are fucking stupid. posting up slogans from brands and trying to use it to define their lives. blogging pictures from lookbook’s for winter, spring, or whatever fucking season it may be because they think the photography may be dope? or i don’t even know for what reason, it just doesn’t fucking make sense to me. real photography comes from your 50 mm lens and figuring out what size the aperture should be or how many stops you need to push or pull for your shot, not posed pictures of people wearing their new era fitted caps and cut and sew pieces.

just because you wear a certain brand doesn’t mean you’re fucking better than anyone else. fashion is a beautiful thing, but you keep that kind of shit to yourself. no one gives a shit about your 30 dollar tees and 18 oz. denim. so please, just shut the fuck up, you’re not as artsy and special as you think you are.
